Job Summary:

As an AI Application Engineer, you will lead the design and deployment of advanced AI technologies across electric vehicles, e-motors, inverters, and humanoid robotics. You will develop control systems, state estimation algorithms, and AI-enabled hardware/software platforms while scouting emerging technologies to enhance vehicle performance, system efficiency, and intelligent automation. This role requires cross-functional collaboration to push innovation in motion planning, perception, predictive analytics, and smart diagnostics.



Key Responsibilities:




  • AI Development: Design, implement, and optimize AI-driven applications for EVs, components, and humanoid robotics.

  • Model Training & Optimization: Train and refine AI/ML models, including LLMs, for energy management, autonomy, and automation.

  • Software & Infrastructure: Build APIs, pipelines, and real-time data processing systems for AI deployment.

  • Robotics Applications: Apply AI to motion planning, manipulation, perception, and behaviour coordination in humanoid robotics.

  • Hardware Integration: Develop AI-enabled embedded systems, sensors, and actuators for vehicles and robotics.

  • Technology Scouting: Research and integrate cutting-edge AI advancements into SERES' technology roadmap.

  • System Validation: Troubleshoot, test, and optimize AI solutions for robustness, scalability, and real-world performance.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Share insights, demos, and reports with cross-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.




Required Qualifications:


  • PhD or MS with 5 years minimum relevant industry experience in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Proven experience in AI/ML for automotive, robotics, or intelligent systems.

  • Strong knowledge of ML algorithms, data processing, and AI model training.

  • Expertise in Python, C++, and MATLAB; proficiency in real-time simulation tools.

  • Strong grasp of robotics fundamentals (perception, motion planning, state estimation, or behaviour coordination).

  • Strong analytical foundation in spatial kinematics and dynamics.

  • Excellent technical communication and collaboration skills.




Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with ROS/ROS2 and GPU programming (CUDA).

  • Knowledge of deep learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV).

  • Hands-on experience with neural networks for perception, planning, or robotic behaviours.

  • Experience integrating large language models (LLMs) into robotic systems.
