Job opportunity for Project Manager in Oil Industry and/or in the Trading Domain

Position Description
As a project manager, you will work with project teams and driving project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and closure. You will manage multiple projects across different platforms; lead technical and strategic direction; and collaborate with a cross-discipline team of engineers, management, and customers to design innovative solutions for our clients. The role is a significant position that involves working with customers and other stakeholders by developing and implementing solutions in a complex, highly dynamic environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities


• Managing the implementation through the entire lifecycle and ensuring that the project is delivered on time, at the agreed cost and with the required quality
• Ensuring that the optimal resources are assigned to the project
• Providing guidance and leadership to the resources seconded to the project
• Ensuring that the project scope is clearly defined and managed in a structured way
• Producing and delivering a well-defined and detailed plan outlining all project milestones and activities. There will be a need to work with other stakeholders to align planning and deliverables.
• Ensuring that all dependencies are identified and managed.
• Ensuring that the critical path is identified
• Producing budget estimates, follow actuals and manage spend vs. budget
• Ensuring that the data preparation and data migration from legacy systems to new solutions are managed and on schedule
• Ensuring timely testing of the solution and that there are no major defects before handover to the business
• Collaboration and communication with all relevant stakeholder groups, including local business teams, local IST and relevant third-party suppliers
• Representing the project in Management meetings
• Ensuring that all interfaces are identified and managed
• Working actively to ensure that risks and issues are identified, managed and mitigated.
• Ensuring that the change management is well executed and that the client organisation is prepared for the changes
• Escalating any issue to the client and conveying the client's instructions to other stakeholders.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The preferred candidate should already have a proven track-record in the Oil Industry and/or in the Trading Domain and a strong background in project management.

The candidate should have been involved in managing several implementations and have exposure to a number of Oil operators, Trading companies and/or service companies. The candidate should have experience in managing people and leading teams.

The candidate should have a positive attitude and be able to proactively pursue and prioritize tasks, whilst juggling a wide variety of activities simultaneously. This person must be excited by change, naturally prone to work as a team player, and willing to get involved and take ownership of a wide variety of challenges.
