Job Description



This position will do a mix of both data preparation using IBM Netezza and also design/develop reports using data structures and Tableau as an Application Developer individual contributor. This role will be responsible for design and delivery of new IBM Netezza data structures and associated Tableau reports within the Center for Analytics team.





Responsibilities



·       Experience working with IBM Netezza or other high performance database is preferred.

·       Experience in Health care is preferred.

·       Utilizes Business Intelligence applications and products to develop executive dashboards and operational scorecards

·       Ensures projects are completed within committed time/budget.

·       Designs and creates data views in SQL and influences decisions regarding infrastructure and back-end data solutions in order to enable evolving analytical needs

·       Designs and develops IBM Netezza/Teradata data structures based on reporting requirements.

Ability to interface with project stakeholders and able to gather scope, requirements etc.


·       Manage multiple projects and provide project status. Able to escalate issues and risks when needed

·       Provide management team with adequate information to make decisions (both strategic & tactical)

·       Solid database skills, data analysis skills, project management skills or experience

·       Design and build utilization management dashboards/reports/models

·       Perform in depth analyses of current trends to enable organization to diagnose and respond to changing competitive landscape

·       Provide inputs to ETL development, review mapping document and perform User Acceptance testing.

·       Deliverables may include interactive reports, dashboards, as well as BI applications that enable self-service reporting capabilities to business power users.

Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience in a Discipline related to the assigned area.

·      
Candidate must be adept in Tableau reporting development and integration with IBM Netezza/Teradata data and have strong technical aptitude

·       5 - 10 years of data analytics & visualization, business intelligence experience a plus

·       Expert knowledge of Tableau Desktop and IBM Netezza/Teradata.



Attention to Detail: Applications have many parts and all must work together for the application to function

 

Problem-Solving: As issues come up, candidate must be able to make decisions that move the project forward



Teamwork: Candidate must work well with others as part of a distributed agile team of developers, analysts, QA, BA's, and more

 

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.



Skilled in analyzing, interpreting and solving complex clinical/business problems
